UPDATE! Academy Award Winner Ed Novick (Inception) and Multi-Emmy Award Winner Jesse Averna (Sesame Street) added to the Presenter Lineup!
The Atlanta Cutters Post Production User Group is bringing the Southeast Creative Summit to Atlanta! Creative professionals have a dizzying array of tools available today. Knowing what to do with all those tools to complete a task, create something original, improve on in-house concepts and please your bosses & clients….. that’s the knowledge that puts you ahead of the curve. That’s what the Southeast Creative Summit is all about.
The Summit will be three days of workshops across a wide array of topics presented by actual working professionals in the business. These people have to meet deadlines, build up new clients, and stay up on the latest industry trends.
We are expecting hundreds of creatives to attend the Summit so this will be an incredible networking, social and knowledge sharing event. You’ll probably get as much knowledge out of the time you spend with your fellow attendees as you will from each workshop.
Workshops are all presented by working professionals.
The workshops will cover production topics from concept to finish including Editorial, Color, Graphics, VFX, Sound, Producer, Aerial Photography, Budgeting, Facility / Suite design, 4k, Field Sound, Music Composition, Sound Design, Cameras and Acquisition, Green Screen, Lighting techniques and more.
We’re especially proud to be presenting both Producer and Aerial Photography workshops. How to budget / plan / and overall Produce a project seems to be a neglected topic at many training events. Aerial photography is a very hot topic right now and we have one of the hottest teams in the industry ready to show you the ins and outs of this field.
Each workshop session will run 90 minutes with up to 8 workshops per session.
Our Presenters have been honored with nearly every major creative award including the Academy Award, Emmy Award, Peabody Award, CableACE Award and more.

A new fun event for Atlanta’s Creatives.
On Saturday night, October 26th we are bringing the first ever Atlanta Creative Ball to….. well, Atlanta! We’re bringing the “fun of the Media Motion Ball” from Las Vegas to the ATL! This will be a great night to relax, enjoy some great food, awesome networking and conversation and probably the largest creative raffle we’ve ever had in this city!
Taking a cue from the “Media Motion Ball” each attendee will have one raffle ticket and will their choice of whatever is on the raffle table when they get there. We love this format and think it’s more fun that just drawing for a specific prize.
This will be a sit down dinner featuring our many sponsors, a keynote presenter and our very special guests, Ron & Kathlyn Lindeboom, founders of CreativeCow.net. If you’ve searched for information about anything creative for the past 12 years or so, you’ve probably found an answer on the Cow. Here’s your chance to shake the hooves of the founders of the bovine nation.
The Atlanta Creative Ball is a stand-alone-event. Attendance to the summit is not required. Meaning you can purchase a ticket to the Ball without having to come to the Summit….. but why would you want to do that … especially since Summit attendees receive over 50% off admission price.
The Atlanta Cutters are Atlanta’s own Post Production User group that encompasses all areas of Post, not just Editorial. We’re a non-profit organization founded by actual editors and artists in Atlanta in 2011. The Managing Members are Dan Daube (Turner Studios), Walter Biscardi, Jr. (Biscardi Creative Media), Kris Merkel (Flanders Scientific) and TJ Jaglinski (DCTV23). We’ve grown from a few dozen folks on our mailing list to over 800 members on the membership roll. Our monthly meetings have featured a “who’s who” in the industry from people to technology. We created the Southeast Creative Summit from an idea thrown out at one of our meetings of the type of event all of us would love to attend.
As a non-profit we’re not in this to make money. To that end, we hope you’ll appreciate that the pricing for this event is much lower than what we’ve seen for comparable presenters and information. We just want you to come gain some great insight on your craft, make some new friends and most of all, enjoy your stay in Atlanta. We look forward to welcoming all of you to our great city!
